Creating a primary stage

Create a primary stage for each expected phase in the life cycle of a case.

For example, you can create the following primary stages: in-progress, approval, and completion.

  1. In the Explorer panel of Dev Studio, click Case types, and then click the case type that you want to open.
  2. On the Workflow tab, click Life cycle.

    If there are no primary stages defined, click Add life cycle.

  3. Click + Stage , and then enter a unique name in the text box that is displayed.
  4. Optional: To let the case worker decide which stage the case enters after this stage, select Wait for a user action in the stage property panel.
  5. Click Save.
